About Development Camps

Confidence grows through experience.

JCP Youth Development Camps bring young people together in a safe, structured and supportive environment where they can try new things and discover what they are capable of.

Through outdoor adventure, mentoring, group activities and youth speakers, participants are encouraged to build resilience, teamwork, self-belief and personal responsibility.

Who are Development Camps for?

The camps are for boys and girls aged 12–16 who would benefit from leadership, outdoor challenge, mentoring and connection with other young people. Young people from diverse backgrounds have engaged in Development Camps, all with positive outcomes.

How do I refer a young person?

Use the referral form above. If you are unsure whether a camp is the right fit, contact our team to discuss the young person’s needs.

Is transport provided?

The current referral requirements ask that the young person has transport to and from the nominated camp drop-off and pick-up point. Contact our team to confirm those arrangements.

What should participants bring, and what does camp cost?

Our team can provide current information about costs, what to bring, camp arrangements and available places. Please contact JCP Youth before making arrangements. There are limited funded positions on each camp for those requiring financial assistance.

Where can I find child safety information?

Read our child safety commitment and how to raise a concern ↗, or speak with our team.
