JCP Youth is pleased to announce that Matt Galea is taking on the role of Statewide Family and Service Coordinator, strengthening the network of support around young people and their families across our programs.
Matt has been part of JCP Youth since February 2025 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the sector. This next chapter will see him focus on connecting families, carers, schools and services so that young people have more coordinated support around them.
For families, finding the right support can mean navigating different services, appointments and referral processes. Matt’s role will help make those connections clearer and more practical, working alongside families to understand their priorities, address barriers and follow referrals through to meaningful contact.
Working across JCP Youth’s programs and districts, Matt will identify gaps in support, strengthen communication between care teams and help families navigate changes in schools, placements or services. He will provide ongoing coordination for families who need sustained support, as well as targeted assistance when a particular issue or transition arises.
The role also supports eligible families to access the Kaleido pathway, helping with preparation, connecting them with the camps team and coordinating follow-up support where needed.
I’m really excited to see Matt invest his experience and energy in such a pivotal role within our team. With more than 20 years in the sector, he brings valuable experience to the work of connecting young people and families with the support they need.
We know the support around a young person matters. This role is about listening to families, bringing the right people together and following through so that connections lead to practical support. I’m grateful to see Matt take this next step with JCP Youth.”
— Will Smith, JCP Youth CEO
Please join us in congratulating Matt as he takes on this important role and continues his work with the JCP Youth team.
