JCP Youth partners with Riskteq to strengthen the systems behind our work

JCP Youth is partnering with Riskteq to strengthen safety, risk management and accountability across our work. Targeting implementation in January 2027, the platform will work alongside ECINS and our tailored systems to better support our team and young people.

JCP Youth is pleased to announce a new partnership with Riskteq, strengthening the systems that support our team and the young people we work with.

Strong relationships are at the heart of our work. Behind those relationships, our staff also need clear processes, reliable information and practical ways to identify concerns and follow through on actions.

Developed by Tasmanian software company Synateq, Riskteq will help bring key areas of our safety, risk and quality management into a more consistent system. We are targeting implementation in January 2027.

The planned rollout covers risk and incident management, policies and documents, staff qualifications and inductions, activity planning, equipment, contractor management and feedback. It will help link issues to clear actions, responsible people and due dates, giving staff and leadership better visibility of what needs attention.

For JCP Youth, the partnership will build on the systems we have already tailored to our work, including ECINS. ECINS supports case management and collaboration around young people, while Riskteq will complement that work by strengthening the organisational processes that support service delivery.

In practice, that could mean a staff member reporting an incident from their phone, a team leader tracking the resulting actions, or a manager identifying a pattern that needs a change in practice. The goal is to make it easier to act on information and carry lessons through into our everyday work.

JCP Youth Chief Operating Officer Alex Bonde described the partnership as a practical investment in the organisation’s future.

Our staff do challenging work, and they deserve systems that help them do it well. We want clear responsibilities, useful information and confidence that when something needs attention, it is followed through.

Riskteq will work alongside ECINS and the other systems we have tailored for JCP Youth. Each has a purpose, and together they support the way we plan, deliver and review our work.

We want JCP Youth to set a high standard. That means investing in the foundations as well as the frontline, and continuing to improve how we support our people and the young people who rely on us.”

Implementation will include configuration, staff training and testing so the system reflects how JCP Youth operates. As we work towards January 2027, the focus is on practical improvements that support our team and strengthen the quality and consistency of our work with young people.
