Josh Prichard has been part of JCP Youth since its inception. Now, he is taking the next step in that journey as our Supervision and Wellbeing Coordinator, working directly with the Executive Team to support the people delivering our work with young people.
Josh first joined JCP Youth as a volunteer before becoming a Program Facilitator. In 2025, he began working full time as our Program Coordinator. His progression through these roles brings firsthand experience of JCP Youth’s frontline work to this new position.
Supporting young people through challenging circumstances takes care, sound judgement and a team that is supported too. Josh’s role creates dedicated space for frontline staff to reflect on their experiences, work through challenges and strengthen their practice.
Working statewide, Josh will provide regular individual and group reflective supervision, support staff following significant or distressing incidents, and help them think through complex situations. He will also provide practical coaching and feedback, support professional development and help staff identify when additional wellbeing support is needed.
Through his direct work with the Executive Team, Josh will share broader wellbeing and practice themes, training needs and recommendations to help guide improvements across the organisation, while protecting personal information and respecting the boundaries of supervision.
Josh has been part of JCP Youth from the very beginning. Seeing him grow from a volunteer into program delivery, then into our full-time Program Coordinator role, and now into this position is something I’m incredibly pleased to see.
