JCP Youth has announced the return of girls’ teenage camp programs, including a Girls Development Camp planned for Hobart from 13 to 15 October 2026.

The announcement builds on the organisation’s work with hundreds of girls and young women across Tasmania each year through school programs, outdoor recreation programs and Kaleido.

A return to teenage camps

In its 19 July announcement, JCP Youth expressed its enthusiasm about welcoming young people from across the state into newly developed programs.

The accompanying artwork introduces the Girls Development Camp as part of the October girls’ programs and highlights three themes: leadership, growth and challenge. It identifies Hobart as the location and 13–15 October as the planned camp dates.

The return of girls’ teenage camps adds to the different settings in which the organisation already works with young people. The announcement also highlighted work on the itineraries and scope of the programs ahead of their October start.

Information and applications to follow

JCP Youth said further information and applications would open soon. The announcement gives families initial dates to keep in mind while the next details are prepared.

Further information will be important for families considering the programs, including the application process and participation requirements. Those details were not included in the initial announcement.

JCP Youth looks forward to sharing more about the return of girls’ teenage camp programs and welcoming participants from across Tasmania.
