Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott visited JCP Youth in Launceston on 15 July, spending time with staff and young people at the Northern Operations Centre.
The visit provided an opportunity for him to learn about JCP Youth’s model of care, its programs and the outcomes of its programming across Tasmania.
Time with staff and young people
Alongside learning about the organisation’s work, Mr Abbott met members of the team and young people at the centre. JCP Youth’s account of the visit recognised the time he gave to both parts of the day.
Michael Ferguson also attended and spent time with young people. JCP Youth thanked him for his participation in the visit.
In its announcement, the organisation welcomed the opportunity to share its work and to bring visitors together with the staff and young people involved in its northern operations.
